Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda is a State University founded to serve the needs of Nalgonda district people in accordance with the aim of expanding the higher educational opportunities in rural areas. MG University was founded in 2007 by the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh (GOAP) via GOMs no 19 of the Education Department dated 13th March 2007. It is in the procedure of acquiring a land area of 250 acres for the construction of University building campuses.
